About us

JEŽKO Civil Association (CA) was established in 2005 in Zaježová, central Slovakia, with the goal of supporting recycling, resource conservation, and resource renewal. Since taking over the association in 2022, we have focused on developing and expanding our activities.

JEŽKO Civil Association’s vision is to promote sustainable living in harmony with natural principles, raise awareness of environmental issues, and support concrete actions for environmental protection. A key priority is also the development of a healthy spirit, body, mind, and social relationships through informal education and youth activities.

Another crucial area of our work is supporting ecological construction and architecture. We are engaged in ecological management and permaculture, contributing to a sustainable and environmentally conscious lifestyle. We actively participate in the protection and restoration of the environment, cultural and natural heritage, and strive for a universal ethical way of life and care for ecosystems and the land.

In the realm of inclusion, we focus on providing opportunities for disadvantaged youth, including those from low-threshold spaces and Ukrainian refugees. We organize accessible activities that support the development and integration of young people from diverse social and cultural backgrounds, aiming to create an inclusive environment where every young person can find support and opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Our activities aim to minimize waste production and promote environmental education and a sustainable lifestyle among children, youth, and local communities. Additionally, we organize sports and recreational activities with an ecological approach, such as climbing and hiking, and operate the Ježko Climbing Club.

Our work and projects focus on integrating sustainability into daily life and providing opportunities for practical learning and personal development. Additionally, we create space for young people to develop their own projects and provide them with support in the form of administrative and coordination services. We are open to the needs and ideas of young people, and our goal is to provide all necessary support for the realization of their initiatives.
